Tilt-O-Shade™
Tilt-O-Shade™ is a member of a chain-driven arms awning family. This model features arm shoulders with independently adjustable pitch, allowing you to raise or lower the front bar when you want, in a matter of seconds. Since each arm is adjusted individually, you can have an awning in a slanted position (for water run off or more shade on one side of the awning). Before retracting the awning, it is important to have the arms leveled to avoid fabric distortion.
All parts are made from corrosion resistant materials and most of them are finished with a white powder coating. The awnings are made to the client specification with custom widths starting from 6'6" wide (in 1" increments) and projections are available in: 5'5", 7'0", 8'6", 10'2", and 12'0".
The Tilt-O-Shade™ awning is the only model which is not available in the Greater Toronto Area; it is available everywhere else. It comes with a comprehensive 5-year warranty.

A robust aluminum arm shoulder with a loop attachment allows independent pitch adjustment for each arm, as determined by the position of the sun or rainfall. Inclination ranges are from 0° to 45° or from 15° to 60°. |
Heavy duty, extruded aluminum arm profiles combined with high strength die-cast joints, powerful springs and rigid stainless steel chain links at the elbows assure fabric tension and system stability at all times. Self-lubricating bronze bushings back up every part of the arm that moves around a pin. |
This fixing bracket is designed for maximum security at the point of connection between the arm and front bar. |
A newly designed front bar has a modern slim look with specially engineered internal reinforcement, and gives continuity to the fabric top while still adding strength to the overall system. |
A large, 40mm square bar, with 2mm thick walls, adds stability to the overall system. |
Rolltec® uses a structural galvanized steel roller tube with spring memory to re-bound to its original shape. |
A variety of brackets for any installation. Wall (regular and 3-hole), ceiling, roof brackets, as well as 4 sizes of rafter brackets (to be used in combination with ceiling brackets). |
A speedy bevel gear with a 5:1 ratio for quick and easy use. A special feature of this gear is a stopper that prevents the awning from rolling up in the wrong direction. |
Made of solid extruded aluminum, the optional hood protects the awning from dirt, debris and the elements. A weather strip at the back eliminates the need for caulking. Unlike other metal hoods, this one will not make a vibrating noise in the wind. |
Maximize your retractable awning enjoyment with a remote controlled motor from Somfy. Preinstalled at the factory, it only needs to be plugged into the regular outlet. Also available with manual override, which lets you retract your awning manually if power loss occurs. |
Installation and adjustment instructions are available for dealers and customers.
